Maryke's constant throughout the past 40 years has been movement.  Living in , experiencing and absorbing different cities and  countries richness of language landscape culture sound and history.

She neither studied art nor music at School but  discovered later that she has a keen eye for detail, a passion for colour and  curiosity about mixing textures and that she could sing.

She began painting in Bonn, West Germany in 1986

continuing in Munich, Berlin, Bern,  Madrid, Pretoria, Cape Town, and Islamabad in Pakistan.

She has explored painting water colours, ink and wash, acrylic,  oil,  and making pottery and creating silver jewellery.

Maryke has now returned to South Africa and has settled in McGregor and hopes to devote more time to painting, writing, designing jewellery, singing and her work as a Transformational Energy Coach.
