Trained as a graphic designer in Cape Town and specialised in logo design and lettering. In the 1980s she was captivated by calligraphy, book-binding and paper-making and wrote a book on the latter, published in five countries. In 2003 she moved to McGregor and alternated between writing and oil painting. Inspired by Impressionism, she focuses on still lifes and country scenes.
